STEP 1: GET HYPED! 

 

The dress-up themes for each day have been decided! Thursday, the 31st, come dressed up in your best costume and get ready for some spooks! Friday, the 1st, get decked out to match your school spirit! Dress up in school colors, or as your school mascot! Saturday, the 2nd, show up in your best SWACURH conference pride outfits, including our conference t-shirts and any other SWACURH merch.

 

Banner: This year, like last year, we will be having digital banners! Show us your school spirit by designing an image (or gif) that best represents your school's pride for SWACURH 2019 Leadership Conference - Revive The Leader in You. The conference theme should also be incorporated into the banner as well. Banners should be emailed in by October 25, the Friday before conference to registr.swacurh2019@gmail.com. If there is any reason your delegation cannot turn in the banner on October 25, please email registr.swacurh2019@gmail.com, and it may be turned in at Check-In on Thursday, on a flash drive. The winner will be voted on and announced at Banquet!

Display: Each school will have the opportunity to earn additional spirit points by bringing a 3D display of their choosing decorated in the conference theme, school pride, or delegation’s personality. It should be no bigger than 2x2x2, and it must include your school’s name or logo. The display will be showcased so all schools can look at the displays and it will be judged at the end of the conference. The display must be turned in during Check-In on Thursday, October 31st. The winner will receive an award at Banquet!

 

Duckorations: Duckorations are a lot like displays. These will be ducks decorated by schools and should match the conference theme. Please include your school's name or logo on your Duckoration. This object will also be put on display for other schools to see and will be judged. The duckoration must be turned in at Check-In on Thursday, October 31. The winner will receive an award at Banquet!

 

Clothespins: Each school will also have the opportunity to earn additional spirit points by bringing a clothespin decorated in the conference theme. Please make your clothespins recognizable (e.g., has school name, logo, colors, etc. on it). The clothespins can also be exchanged with others at conference. One clothespin must be turned in at Check-In on Thursday, October 31. The winner will receive an award at Banquet! 

 

Roll Call: 

Roll call video must be submitted to registr.swacurh2019@gmail.com by Friday, October 25th by 11:59PM (CDT)

• Performance can be no longer than 5 minutes

• Please refrain from using glitter, confetti, or liquids in your performance.

• The video must contain CC (closed captions)

• The video should include region's name, colors, and mascot (either visually or specifically stated)

• Video should not contain any inappropriate, obscene, or vulgar language or imagery

• Video should incorporate the 2019 conference theme: Monsters/Revive The Leader in You

 

*You will be performing along with your video. Please include a live portion (e.g., standing up and chanting along with video)

 

The following criteria will be used to judge roll calls:

• Does the roll call demonstrate region unity?

• Is the entire region involved in the performance?

• Does the roll call appear well rehearsed?

• Does the performance excite other delegates?

• Does the roll call speak to the theme of the conference?
